I spent many days during my childhood bass fishing from the bank before I ever got my first Jon boat. I wanted to share some of my bank fishing techniques to help some of you younger guys who do not have access to a boat. I will go over my topwater, mid depth, and deep water baits as well as one of my old big fish go-to baits.

Never caught a thing on poppers or plastic worms. Too impatient. Refuse to even throw them anymore. My PB is on an 8" lizard during a full moon. Lizards, craws, and frogs for this guy.
Time 6:35 Now thats a Bama Bucket Mouth!
You're a better fisherman than me even though I am much older than you.
But, I have to correct you on your PB – Personal Best.
You're PB is not 12.5…..
Liz is definitely the 'CATCH' of your life – she is a classy girl. 🙂
Thank you for the awesome videos.
Keep it up they help all
It's so weird watching videos when u aren't talking during them
Hey BamaBass what's the best fishing line to use with my Pompadour??
That video just ended abruptly lol
Is there any way to tell if a bass has been eating crawfish ?
What was the rod, reel and line setup?
I have one of those lures
12 in culprits are the ticket also gatortail 11 inch a guy in 8os won classic on gator tail not was a 5 inch love your videos bama bass from a fla fisherman
Do u only catch giant monsters? I've never seen u catch a fish under like 3.5-4lbs lol… Everyone just a fuckin monster.
I was very confused by your video. When you caught the second fish on a worm, it looked like the worm was much higher up on your line while the fish was hooked on a naked hook without any worm there at all! Also, when you caught the net fish on a frog, was there a second frog attached higher up the line as well? I don't understand. I've never seen this type of fishing before where where two worms or two frogs are being used simultaneously on one line or am I seeing things? Please explain. Thanks.
I got my pb with one of those worms 6 pounds seems small to you but I'm 13 and I've only been bass fishing for 2 years
Loved it really helped this morning
ima hit that sub just because u actually thought about us .the people with nothing just starting up thanks man

unfortunately bass fishing in the ponds where i live isnt that great. got a tourny at an urban lake sat that is full of river runnoff and chocolate color along with it being in the 50's outside. gonna be tuff
Its driving me nuts..last 3 times i went fishing with nno luck….I'm new at this and have only caught 3-4inch bluegill so far….i really want a bass…my swim baits have had no luck so far….i need some better lures….i know its winter time while im posting this but ive seen plenty of people on youtube catching bass in the winter
Thanks for posting your videos!!! You have helped me up my Bass catching game 100%!!! I'm a Bank Fisherman and am ALWAYS looking for tips to become better!!! Have you done any Bass catching in the water in a Kayak??!! If so, PLEASE post those videos as well if you haven't already done so!!! Thanks!!!
hey bama thanks for the vid. I found a large pond in my area that has bass, and is low pressure but they will only bite wacky rigged senkos. im tired of catching all the small guys and I want to target the bigger ones. any tips would be helpful.
What makes a pond a pond and not a lake? My grand dad usta say "…if you can throw a rock across it, its a pond." That's a big a** pond ,Bama! LOL Great vid!
For the worm, do u use a bullet weight? If so how heavy
If you were fishing just for trophy bass (I fish for big northern strain bass) from the bank what would be your top 5 lures (and the sizes and colors)? The small lakes and ponds I fish have mostly pumpkinseed sunfish and red swamp crawfish in them (also some frogs and water snakes). I'm thinking about using 7" MS Slammers in a bluegill color, the Jackall Gantarel Jr, River2Sea S-Waver 168, Keitech Swing Impact Fat 4.8, jigs and swim jigs, spinnerbaits, 9 and 10 inch worms (ribbon tail in the summer and straight tail in the winter) and frogs. What do you think?
I fish only from the bank, always trying to catch trophy bass. I'd love to see more videos about fishing from the bank for giant bass!
Great tips! Fishing here in IL from the bank is close to impossible in some areas. Gave me some awesome ideas for packing the new bank bag thanks!

Thanks for all the tips, past present & future. I think I've learned a lot though I live in Central Florida (a slightly different fishing challenges for me), yet there are several similarities to Alabama fishing. Thanks again! These bank fishing vids and suggested lures to use really help!
you seem like such a nice genuine guy lol thanks for the great bass videos !
Hey, guys. Just wanted to thank you for your videos. Always informative and well done. My question about bank fishing would be rod length. I am relegated to the bank for most of my bass fishing up here in New Hampshire. A lot of the spots I fish can get pretty tight as far as overhanging limbs and whatnot. I always leaned toward a shorter rod for this reason. The problem is that it's harder to pitch a good distance when I can't roll cast or overhead cast due to the environment. What would be your all-around ideal rod length for bank fishing?
Which knot do you typically use to tie on your lures?
I love the educational videos
I saw that mega bass popper at the beginning
"that's a healthy looking fish" (swims straight down into the ground) maybe not the smartest though haha 😂
