Baja Koala Conquers Palm Springs 🌴🌊🍺
Kevin Meza aka the Baja Koala gets invited to the Palm Springs Surf Club for a couple days of testing some brand-new wave settings — and somehow this turns into way more than just a surf session. Sharing waves with Chase Senteno, Cade Senteno, Caleb Crozier, Garrett Bair.
We had basically unlimited pool time to experiment with the waves, shoot some crazy angles, and put my new Brightin Star 11mm F2.8 Fisheye to the test on the Sony A1 II.
Then things took an unexpected turn… Thanks to Chase Senteno we went fishing and absolutely loaded up on bass 🎣
After getting back to the Surf Club for another day in the pool, we finally got the shot I was hoping for — BEER IN THE BARREL. 🍺🌊
This was one of those trips where you never really know what you’re going to come home with. Surfing, fishing, good friends, new camera gear, and a few ridiculous ideas that somehow actually worked.

The 11mm fisheye was especially fun for getting super-wide POV shots inside the barrel and really showing off the scale of the Palm Springs Surf Club waves.
