Not sure when you are coming to California, but try and get a spot on San Vicente Reservoir. Lake has been closed since 2008 because they raised the dam to make the lake even bigger. It was already the best fishery in Southern California, and so people have been going crazy waiting for it to open. Tickets are sold on Tickemaster only. Opening week is 22nd to 26th of September. Fish have not seen a lure in 8 years so should be epic. Tickets sold out in 10 seconds for those first four days. I have a ticket for October 3rd if you are interested which is the 2nd week. However, you said you are going to be here September. I suggest you look into that lake. Let me know if you need any info on other lakes here. I have fished most of them. I have already fished with Gene Jensen the Flukemaster, would be cool to fish with you as well while you are here.
