  1. True story behind me trying change the way I fish bc I'm not catching anything, I end up snagging. And thats the truth all anglers go through to become a better angler, πŸ™ to us all.

  2. thats so crazy this is the topic..I got my 3rd biggest bass of the season this morning cuz I slowed DOWN MY RETRIEVE..kietech sungill 3.8 & VMC 1/4oz swimbait head.Hey Nick, can y'all address Rate of Fall for me??I seem to be missing a lot of strikes on the fall-I'll admit it…lol

  3. Gonna use this recommend next time out. Makes sense. Also, might break "conditioning" from bass being fished for at the same constant speed. I watch to see how fast other guys are winding and sometimes, it seems they are all going the same speed. Might be on to something here.

  4. Always great info. Now If I could just fish better lakes i would be in there. I've been told all my life I only have 2 speeds. Bat outta hell or grandpa slow. hahahaha

  5. I've been fishing for bluegills and have had bass come up and grab the bluegill I was fighting at the time. The bass knew the bluegill was struggling and tried to take advantage of it.

  6. It doesn't matter what I do the bass just don't like anything I have to offer. I guess I will be eating bream all the time, thank goodness bream fry up so good!

  7. I like this tip. My lake stopped the "average" speed on frogs last week. Two days ago, I was speeding up the retrieve with no result. Yesterday, I went slow with the frog. BAM! all day.

    Awesome tip as always.
