Bass Fishing Freaks!!! Welcome back to the first open water bass fishing video of the 2023 fishing season! It is early April, and the water temps on the Mississippi River are in the low to mid 40’s. I found a mixed school of smallmouth and largemouth bass hanging out on the shallow brush pile. They only the I could get them to eat, was a Certified Swimmer on a 1/4 ounce ball head. Love the smallie action! I tried floating my yak down one of the Mississippi tribs (I think this one lol) and got skunked last weekend. Should've floated all the way to the Mississippi i guess
