You could use a nut to fasten rods together also. Put rods in the nut and smash the nut down. Good job on your build. Exactly what I was looking to do. Thanks.
holy crap dude,..you made this a lot easier to follow and understand. Thanks for the video, no off to Lowes and walmart…lol
Nice. I love it
Love the idea of love the concept I appreciate your channel thanks for the input on this I can't wait to make a few myself love it love it fantastic job can't wait to try it myself keep up the good work tight lines to you
Sept. 8, 2018—Thanks for the tip. Until last year, never heard of the Texas or Senko rigs. Live in Reno, NV. area and the Senko rig has gotten me a lot of bass, but I use nightcrawlers while brother prefers rubber worms. Until yesterday, never heard of the Alabama rig and the few videos I've watched got me to ordering some on Ebay via China for something like $2 each w/free shipping. I ordered 5. These are the 5 wire jobbers. checked Bass Pro and theirs are $9+ each plus shipping.
And learned something new. Didn't know that JB had a 2 part stick version. I thought just the tube version available. This is something I can use when making plastic models as you can shape it any form you want, then just let it harden.
Garbage! I've made some homemade bama rigs that were 100 times stronger and better looking and they didnt cost but a few pennies. I would never fish anything so poorly made.
found some cheap ones on ebay.
Great job Brian that was good job. Keep the videos coming.
I made one of these that had hooks for sport fishing and I put fresh herring on it to fish for salmon in Puget Sound. worked better than anything I have ever used.
Great video.Awesome technique.
gonna be making a few of these and gonna try to airbrush over the jbweld to make it look better
Made 10 of these today with different weights inside. Waiting on em to dry….
Hey,i know i'm really late on this,but whateva. I just saw it. Anyway,i do something similar. I even use the puddy in tiny amounts for holding my blades where i want them. I use to melt suspend strips for that,but that got messy. I tie a skirt on mine,not sure if you do. Anyway,the biggest thing i do to save them is twisting my longest rod. I form an eyelet with it,but leave a few inches extra inches on the rod to bend downward,and slightly back to give me a bottom feeler,or whatever you wanna call it. This keeps my lure off the bottom,and makes it much more difficult to get lodged in a rock or whatever. Seriously,try it. It's a real bait saver. And considering the number of good fish i have caught using it,it obviously does not hinder my presentation. Some guys will make or buy rigs with extra rods for this,and just bend them. But that just wastes a lot of rod. Plus,the rods are not in front of the lure,so it catches only after you are already snagged. I find my way much more effective & less wasteful of materials. Just an idea. 😉
hey man can you make a video where you make it with a lead weight
thats the best idea ever i have to try it thanks man
Great job my man nice vid
Great job my man nice vid
Thanks for sharing!
do you cut your wires down at all?
Thanks for the Video, got it done in 10 minutes and just waiting for the JD weld to dry.
Nice video and it's the same stuff as mighty putty except that it's blue and not green ( mighty putty is in Canada and the states) and JB is only in the states
i spend 8$ for the flags(12) and jb weld stick now i can make 3 alabama rigs with 3 hooks for under 8$ GOOD DEAL compare to 15-30$ ones online
good video man..just went and bought the shit to make my own..good lookin'! lol
@manjiquaker
Good idea!
@azndoode12
Never heard of mighty putty. If it says you can sand it, paint it or drill it. It will probably work.
how about mighty puddy
@radracer47
Yep I sure have.
For the ferrules you can use the aluminum part of a rivet. Just pull the nail out then crimp with regular wire crimpers. You'll never pull a rivet out of that JB weld.
have ya caught any on it??
@kylerprochaska
Check out his vid on an awesome painted version he did!
awesome vid! tried it out and it worked great, i tried to post a response vid to yours but it didn't work
Thanks, I have been playing with smaller amounts of JB Weld, and also adding willow blades.
That is awesome! nice work!
