Is It TOO EARLY For BASS FISHING? (Late Winter Fishing From Shore)

Is it too early for bass fishing? Today I’m doing more late winter fishing from shore. The weather has been crazy for the last few weeks! First it’s warm, then cold, then raining, then cold. Luckily the bluegill are still biting. I catch five bluegill on a simple float rig. I decide to go out on a limb and try my luck for largemouth bass from the bank. I make a few casts with a crankbait, but can’t get a bite. I still think it’s a bit too early for bass. But, I am glad the bluegill are still biting, even when fishing from shore.
