Speed cranking around grass early in the year

In this #TackleTipTuesday, @stetsonblaylockfishing shows off one of his go-to baits in the late winter, pre-spawn time of year. Burning a crankbait over grass, on rock and through stump fields is his bread and butter. He isn’t afraid to up his line to keep the bait riding higher in the water. Utilizing a little longer rod (7’4″) is also his preference so he can snatch it free from grass easier and also to make longer casts.
