I know your a southern dude but if you like creek fishing, one of the best smallmouth rivers and lakes is lake champlain and the Connecticut river. Some of the best smallmoth fishing in the country.
That’s one bass i still have never caught.. i got family down that way but Kayaking with the gators man I don't know. Got some bass here but water temp was 46
There are two big lakes across from miami Airport that have giant peacocks in them.
