You Only Need Four Pond Fishing Baits To Catch More Largemouth Bass | R50 Dam

Trying to figure out which pond bass fishing baits you should use for you next bass fishing trip. These Four baits is all you need to catch more Largemouth Bass Pond Fishing!!!

This challenge video is to show that four bass fishing lures is all you need to catch bass for the day. I had minimal time and gear to see if i could those bass to bite from the bank.

R50 Dam is the venue of choice to try and get those bass on the bank. The R50 dam is located in the deep south just outside of Alberton. Property has multiple ponds for bass anglers to fish in. The ponds have no clarity in the water so using darker and noisy bass fishing baits will get the job done.

1st: Bass fishing bait on my list is a Berkley Choppo 105.
This bait is the perfect bait for pond because you can cover alot of water on you pond that you going to be fishing. The prop on the choppo gives this bait a unique action but also a unique sound that draws bass from the homes. The choppo works really well in over cast conditions even tho in this bank season the wind was blowing very gently creating a small chop on the surface of the water. The choppo makes so much noise and it moves so much water the small chop on the water didn’t effect the choppo.

2nd: Bass Fishing bait on my list was a Berkley Square Bull.
Lure like the Berkley Square Bull are a effect way to cover water in the mid water column. This bait really shines when you casting it 45 to 35 degrees form the bank and run it up on the bottom of the pond. The R50 dam isn’t deep so you can pretty much cast the lure 45 degrees and you where hitting the bait up against rocks. The wide wobble of the Square Bull is great for dirty to stained water. This wide wobble moves alot of water and it will get the bass’s attention.

3rd: Bass Fishing bait on my list was a mixture between the Berkley The general and The Berkley Creature Hawg. The General is a stick bait style soft lure that is a very effective way to catch bass all around South Africa. It work in ponds and it work in big Dams around the country. It’s action less presentation just gets the bass fired up and they just cant resist the bait. In my case the bait didn’t produce any bass but the Berkley Creature Hawg seemed to get the bass’s attention. Me getting 3 bites and land one bass on The Berkley Creature Hawg was a successful bait choice for this challenge.

4th: and final bait was the General rigged in a wacky style. Not much to say about this presentation. It just catches bass in every pond around the country. Favorite bank fishing presentation because it just catches bass.
