Fishing doesn’t have to be expensive! We love high-end tackle and JDM gear as much as the next tackle junkie but we also know there are some amazing budget options on the market. Many anglers can’t afford the top baits of today but with a little searching you can save money and still catch a TON of fish! Today we’ve comprised a list of our top 9 best budget-friendly baits for bass fishing.
Most of our videos are about dialing in your equipment to maximize your time on the water. We often throw budget to the wind and focus on the “best of the best”. Today we’re going the other direction… We’ve scoured our tackle and come up with a list of wallet-friendly baits that we have a ton of confidence in! We’ve caught countless fish on all but one of these offerings, even catching 10 lbers on that cheap Storm Sunfish!
Remember that a high price tag doesn’t always mean quality. Sometimes cheap prices reflect cheap quality but if you wade through the knock offs and mediocre baits, you’ll discover a handful of true diamonds in the rough. These baits have each proven themselves and should have a place in every angler’s arsenal. Below is a breakdown of the baits discussed in the video, including links direct to each product on Tackle Warehouse where you can see up close pictures and descriptions, we’ve even included the retail price for each offering so you know what you’re getting into.

My biggest Bass to date was on a spot lipless
The storm wildeye sunfish or crappie is absolutely a killer bait, it is always in my box, in both sizes. I too am a fan of the rtf bluegill ,I have bothe the weedless and the jig hooked ones, haven't had a chance to throw them yet
I have numerous Savage Gear swimbaits and they are amazing! Unreal action and priced right!
I am a huge fan!!! learned a ton and guess what Tim? yes my PB (9.15lbs) https://youtu.be/s-ElCdAji08 was caught with one of those babies. I am in FISHBRAIN (catchingreleasing) and you can see all my catches on there with this baby since march of this year. Thanks to you I was able to break my PB twice in less than 2 months. 👍
Awesome video, simply awesome!!!!!
What color was that super fluke?
Just came back from Canada . Been going for 50 years . We catch literally hundreds on Yum Dingers . Weed flats , 8ft.
Does anyone have a rod recommendation for the savage gear pulse tail bluegill loose body?
Lipless (Cotton Cordell Spot) is my confidence bait. #1 in my Arsenal, been slayin them all summer! 4-5 lb bass. 5lb actually bent my hooks fought so hard
I’ve been using Jawbone brand poppers and they get bass (and a messed up amount of pickerel, but that’s just my area lol). I have a big fat Jawbone crank that’s sunfish pattern that works, too. They have good soft plastic sunfish. All their lures are $3-4. Their small soft plastics I’ve tried are kinda “meh” bc the colors suck.
Excellent vid!!!
What do you think about the livetarget bluegill rattlebait
Thanks for sharing!
Literally buy anything from YUM
I love yum dingers
perfect vid cause i lost 3 lures today and need to reup
Lol, Yum, Zoom, and Storm are baits I give out to friends who go fishing with me and don't know where to start, they feature heavily in my tackle, and they work!
Great videos can we get an update on the savage gear pulse tail bluegill when you can thanks
I've got the yum dinger green pumpkin 5" I've caught NADA on it but I still use it once per outing
let me tell you the Yum Dinger really does work. Caught an 11 in the CA Delta last June.
Bro! Bought some Dingers(5in.)and Super Flukes this morning and was catching by noon. Super fluke was the winner. Thanks for this post and advice. Caught my first Bass EVER today and wanted to thank y’all. Good lookin out!
one of Greatet videos I've seen in a long time. Great vid. Do more like this!
What do y'all think anyone Horsetail Jigs? I fish in Georgia lakes
The strike king kvd 1.5 are my go to go squarebills. I have many brand such as megabass, 6th sense, ect, but the strike king catches way more fish for me. Plus the strike king red eye shad lipless is also the best lipless that catches fish for me.
