Fall Crappie fishing tips/ where to look for them. #crappiefishing #fishing

Catching crappie from the bank can be a lot of fun and quite productive! Here are some tips to help you out:

1. Location: Look for spots with structures like submerged trees, brush piles, or docks. Crappie love to hang around these areas.

2. Timing: Early morning and late afternoon are generally the best times to catch crappie. They tend to be more active during these periods.

3. Bait and Lures: Live minnows are a popular choice for crappie fishing. You can also use small jigs, especially those in bright colors like chartreuse, white, or pink.

4. Technique: Try casting your bait or jig near the structure and letting it sink to the desired depth. Slowly retrieve it with a steady motion or a slight jigging action.

5. Depth: Crappie often suspend at different depths depending on the time of year and water temperature. Use a bobber to keep your bait at the right depth if needed.

6. Light Line: Use light fishing line (4-6 lb test) to increase your chances of catching crappie, as they can be line-shy.

Give these tips a try and see how it goes!
