  1. There were originally 2 species of peacock bass released in Florida. Spotted and butterfly are the 2 names I think. The internet says the bigger kind died off, but it looks like you might have caught 1. I don't remember which one it said died off, and I don't think it's accurate info.
    I'm going rainbow bass fishin' in Costa Rica next week and this looks like great advice on retrieves and lures. They're all giant cichlids but there's less info on the rainbows.

  2. Thanks good show an info. My grandkids are up in St. John's Co . So I leave the winter wasteland land of hard water michigan to see them an got two 12# largemouth at there place but time to take 4hr drive to the glades, peace

  3. Friend very good video. For me the BEST lure for very big peacock bass in Florida is the prop bait 4.0 inch. Grim Ripper from High Roller Company. The best colors for me are firetiger, clown, redhead.

  4. Going out to get peacock bass for the first time in my life since I am from Boston and I am down in the Delray area now and I'm getting that mirrolure twitch bait to try it out and I think that would be a great lure.
