I've never had any luck with a fluke at all. However, most people I see that use them are fishing fairly clear water, water around me is almost always stained at best. I wonder if that makes that much difference.
Recently discovered this awesome bait! Always knew they were there and heard they were good but recently tied one on and stubbornly stuck with it and am glad I did. Thanks for your instruction, I will definitely give your set up a try👍🏼
What a legend
My secret is in the hook. I use a 4/0 Gamakatsu Skip-Gap Hook, the bend in the hook helps keep the placement true without effecting the action. You guys must try it!!
I love that YouTube is the new TV and anyone can have a channel.. this guy is a legend
This is exactly how you should rig a fluke, weightless, weedless and twitching. So many people and videos on YouTube have tried to tell me not to use EWG hooks and leave the hook exposed, but they are wrong. Fishing a fluke is as much about technique as it is about rigging the fluke. Roland's rigging works because he has perfected his technique.
Improve your technique and this rigging will work.
What's the name of the loop knot?
caught my first freshwater tarpon on double fluke 20 lb in a spillway epic fight from shore
Terrible camera awareness by everyone involved lol
I knew Roland would give me good advice before I took the fluke out for the first time.
Thanks for the tips and advice, working on my mastery of the fluke currently. Cheer's
Learned bass fishing from good old boys in ocala fl. Very same method but with 8lb. Mono using either manns jelly worms or crème scoundrels that was 35 years ago still my favorite way to bass fish
Fluke fishing is one of my favorite ways to fish ,as specially in the spring school bass season. 🐟🐠🐡
Every time Roland says "Watch the line, watch the line", the camera man cuts away and points the camera at Roland. I watch fishing videos to see the fish strike.
Thank u Roland!
Thanks Roland
Senko, flukes, and trickworms are my go to lures. You can take just those out for the day and be set eith a few different hooks and weights.
this guy is a legend. I have been learning a lot from him before YouTube. So awesome to see Roland teaching. This is great wisdom. You can't beat experience. This guy has seen so much innovation in artificial lurers. The proof in in the pudding. Look at all the giant bass he catches.
Works so good it didnt catch a fish
Mr. Martin, as always, great knowledge dump to us! Much appreciated! Can you use a BFS baitcaster intead of a spinning outfit? Thanks again!
Hey Roland, Hey
You’re an excellent instructor Roland. Thank you!

Hey roland ! How many chiggers did you get in shorts on the bank of that canal????
Come on Roland, You should know better than to throw in a spot only one time and move on!
Been following and watching Roland for 30+ years. Growing up without someone in my family to teach me I learned so much from KVD, Roland,Bill Dance, Larry Nixon ect. You guys are all legends. Thank you
I know it's cliche to say, but Roland I can promise that you forgot more about bass fishing than I can probably learn and that's what is so awesome watching you work your magic because it's filled with a mountain of tip's and trick's that I can never turn down the opportunity to learn!!
