You keep saying that FFS is cheating. Why is it cheating just because you don’t like it? What about side view? Or 360? I see the need for a depth finder for safety reasons. But when I started fishing you had a topo map and I had a super 60 on the dash and a super 30 on the bow. You can’t cherry pick technology and be the one who decides what is good and bad. Why don’t you and all these pros you talk about who you know are against FFS but afraid to come out just start your own league that doesn’t allow FFS? That’s why Boyd Duckett did when he didn’t agree with BASS.

I've noticed that most anglers fish a certain way and you're not going to sway them. Even if they get crappy results they won't change. I fish from a float tube, sometimes from a kayak with no electronics. Not even a GPS. This is my favorite way of fishing and it works really well.
I’m 71 and I think your optimism is misplaced. The country is in a precarious position right now. Sometimes, I feel you are insulated from the reality of the current economy Randy. The run of recent flash sales is alarming. I think sponsorships will decline. The cost to compete is becoming eletist. The cost of travel is high. The cost of everything has gone up.

FFS is not the end of bass fishing. The whole controversy is annoying to say the least. Just go fish and forget all the BS. I do not use FFS but I don't see it going away. These companies are not going to stop producing products because a group of people are whining about it. Just go fish!!!!!!!!!
I was at Bass Pro today. There was very little inventory they almost look like they are going out of business
the rate of inflation is reducing but the real inflation is not, it was 1.8 % 3 years ago and in 2021 it was 7%. Prices went up then, gas and fuel and have continued to stay high.
Well I know I'm not buying anymore lures, the prices are ridiculous. Only thing I buy are plastics, hooks and weights. I'm still catching fish on lures I have had for 10 to 15 years. Why should I pay $20 on a jerk bait or crank bait. I'm 62 years old and don't fish tournaments any more. Just take my grandkids fishing and I get more enjoyment out of that. It's just not the same, just my opinion. I look forward to see how you do next year Randy with your new boat. Best of luck!
As for ffs its basically cheating, real bass fishermen can catch them without it. If you need it you should learn how to fish, has no business in pro bass fishing tournaments anyone can catch fish using electonics dont have to know how to fish! What happened to experience and knowledge? Pretty soon robots will b fishing for them and all they have to do is sit there.

Trumpers lose their shit when told that the economy is good right now. They don't understand the high prices are from price gouging, which started when we all got covid relief funds. The problem is the corporations don't want to stop the gravy train. The economy was going downhill before covid hit. The bottom line is our economy is better than all the other major countries. Just look it up anywhere, the numbers don't lie. Also anyone hurting in this economy is not the gov fault. There are many jobs out there to be had that pay great. Its certainly not the migrants fault. Just because Sweet Potato Hitler says it does not make it true. Wait till he tells you to drink the Kool-aid…🤣
I fish with ffs and it’s definitely effective….its just sometimes traditional running the bank is more fun. The mystery and suspense makes it more exciting and enjoyable

Given your bias against FFS I don't see how your opinion can be very objective. You're seeing what you want/hope to see and relating everything in terms of tournament fishing and watching fishing on TV. This part of the "fishing space" is just a tiny fraction of the sport and gets blown out of proportion due social media. The vast majority of fisherman (99%) don't participate in, don't care about, don't watch fishing tournaments. For us it's all about being about to catch fish when we go out and anything that helps us is highly important. As for lures, most lures are designed to catch fisherman first and so the fact that FFS is causing fisherman to rethink buying lures is not necessarily a bad thing
