I'm guessing you're in caspe, rivers really muddy there, move further down river for clearer water, and you have to rest the lure from time to time on the retrieve, we catch them all the time on them lures

Looks so awkward casting with your right arm then switching hands. Why not just switch the handle on the reel over…
I was a spincaster fisherman in my teens, and what I find interesting is how he can precisely adjust the cast by touching the reel while the bait is still in the air. I never thought about doing that.

To fish for these monsters you need a three piece, slim taper, heavy action, graphite coated, strawberry flavored, sissy stick. For a reel you need an Ambassador 785, 25:1, fast retrieve, with a dyno powered gag drag. Three miles of hundred pound, titanium line attached to a Mr Twister Motorized River Runt, with a smelly propeller, attached to three feet of spider eyed tape worm. All this gear is on clearance at a Bass Pro Shop near you. Just tell them Gizzard Dooley sent you.

The funny thing is I've seen those videos as well they make it look so easy. But you've had to work for the fish and that's what I appreciate about your show on YouTube over other shows. I catch big small mouth and throw a few on YouTube from time to time. And it looks like I've caught those fish just one after another when really I've had to work at catching those fish

Look kidd when you turn your drag down and reel causing the spool to turn you wind or twist your line … you see that in how it tangles up coming off the spool later … I see so many people doing it and they never figure it out!!! Also just noticed and watch you al the time???? You cast right handed but you reel right handed …The hesitation you have in changing the rod to your left hand into good … I cast right and reel left and there is no stopping the bait when it hits the water it takes off and believe it or not that makes it look alive!!!! I was a fish slayer !!!! Please you can learn to reel left handed and it will help your back in the long run!!!

We fish for Sharptooth catfish in South Africa on a method called "popping", you can check out some of my videos where we smash them on top water! Might be a good method to try in your waters! I also fish from a kick boat.
