In today’s bass fishing video I go over one of the best winter baits for bass fishing. In this bass fishing video specifically, I am pond fishing in the fall and winter, but I apply these bass fishing tips and techniques to boat fishing as well. The way I explain how to fish this winter bait for bass fishing in the fall is the same exact way I fish this bait while bass fishing in the winter and also the way I do most cold water fishing in the fall and winter. This is what I consider cold water fishing. The water doesn’t get below about 48 degrees here, so cold water fishing for us is about 48-54, when the water gets this cold the bass are harder to catch but big and fat when you do! I am using a black with blue flake 5″ senko with the tips died chartreuse. The senko is the best stickbait I have found because of the heavy salt impregnation, which gives the bait a different action and keeps the bass holding on. With the shorter days, it’s easier for me to hop from pond to pond doing bank fishing in the fall and actually catch fish, usually, if they aren’t biting in one pond they are the next. Let me know if this winter fishing video helps you catch more bass in ponds or anywhere next time you go bass fishing!
