It was a struggle! Basically battled the boat fisherman for most of the day. They beat us to the spots along our route on both sides of the islands. At least they kept a good distance ahead of us. Just unfortunate but it happens. Caught a bunch and a lot off camera on the way back to the launch. I think I landed about 10 total keepers this morning.

I try to fish away from boat traffic areas after I almost got hit last year on my inflatable kayak. Some boaters are respectful others are questionable at times haha… once the fall swing is in and hunting season begins, I’ll pretty much have an entire river to myself all day! Can’t wait until then🤫🎣
