After a blistering hot July, a few cooler days in August seemed to change the fishing on Clear Lake. The bass are on the bite and catching them on Jigs, shaky heads, and the drop shot were just what they wanted. The water temps are holding around 70 – 75 degrees instead of the mid 80’s like it was just a couple of weeks ago. Cooler nights are helping the lake waters cool down, and every angler we have spoken with are hopeful this is an early fall.
