Rescuing smallmouth bass from being trapped in a fishing line river snag

I went fishing for rock bass and smallmouth bass in a Vermont creek in June. I caught many of them but a few were getting caught in a river snag with fishing line and lures. So I needed to get into the water to release the fish from the line and lures.

I lose lures all the time but if you see any lures in the river- please try to take them out and throw them away. Obviously they can have an effect on the fish in the river!
