8 out of 10X I get weeds nonstop with catter baits. I'm doing a slow to medium retrieve. I've done it in 15+ lakes always get weeds grr
I have found at night that they like a z-man and a rage craw to put off more vibration.
If the color on the head got scratched off, does it affect on the performance? Also, what size do you recommend if the water is about 3 meters depth? I got 1/2 oz chatter bait and it picked up TON OF WEEDS, could you tell me why?

Great vid and appreciate your insights; I'm a bit confused about the "bend" … you say you bend it down but from the looks of it, it seems to be bent "up" from where you tie the line on the clip (@4:15 of the vid)… or am I just not getting it ? Anyway, I appreciate the insights…just now getting into chatterbaits.

Thanks for the tip. Today i caught a 2.5 lbs or 3.0 lbs today idk. What line should i put on my baitcaster to keep the line from breaking so that i don't lose it?
So if i use 3/4 oz…can it still be used effectively just with a faster retrieve? I fish relatively shallow water. ideally i think would be 3/8 oz or 1/4. but my box is filled with the heavy ones
