  1. I admired all of them,I liked how each would talk about baits, you could see what they were doing, but they were always in great places,I went to a lot of product shows, many top pro's were trying to push boat sales,my personal favorite was Hank Parker,he was pushing Ranger boats,we had a chance to talk,or the 60/40 conversation,I talked about plastics, worms, craws and swim baits,he talked about spinnerbaits and jigs, what you see is real
Hank,he was so energetic, tried selling me a new Ranger, then a guy walked up,said back to work and he was telling him everything about Ranger,I have seen the good ole days as you have.

  2. Good stuff. Stirred some good memories, and included a few names I know but knew nothing about them. Your recall and memory is better than mine, and I thought mine was โ€œawesomeโ€. ๐Ÿ˜„

  3. I'm only 46, but l have studied bass fishing all my life. From James Henshall, Robert Page Lincoln, Jason Lucas and Ray Bergman up through the 90s era bassmaster pros. History is important! By the way, it was Woo Dave's that used a Zebco 808….not Basil Bacon.

  4. Thanks for this video, there are still a lot of greats that didn't get a mention. I think of Ken Cook, Gentlemen George Cochran Tommy Martin, Stacy King, just to name a few.Sorry to say those days are gone.

  5. Your depressing I'm 70 yrs. Old and I'm not depressed like you. Look on the bright side at least your still fishing. Your not 6feet under knock it off. Paul Elias Larry Nixon Guiodo started the swing jig. Be happy. You keep whining I'm gonna stop watching and I've been watching for a long time.

  6. After rick won the 84 classic he came to Cincinnati to do a seminar, I was in the front row, till this day I use what I learned from him. He had a Labrador named skeeter, I had to go get a Labrador and named it skeeterโ€ฆ. I had to be like him lol
    He will be missed

  7. Times have changed. The days as a kid waking up Saturday morning to watch Bill Dance fish are long gone, unless you go to YouTube now days. The days of fishermen making it on just pure fishing knowledge and landing sponsors are pretty much gone now. Today it's about social media and subscribers, likes, and content. There are a ton of 'influencers' that have never fished a tournament with massive followings that make big money from fishing tech, bait and clothing companies. All because of social media. It would be great to have a seniors league with a few of the old hammers. That's something I would watch for sure. I wonder how many old school bait companies will go belly up since all it takes now days is a 3 inch minnow?

  8. There were several I always followed. Guido, Hank Parker because he was so into family, Rick clunn. A guy I used to watch on tv was Virgil Ward. I loved his show. Harold Ensley , great guy who could teach techniques

  9. Clunn was the best natural fisherman ever ! I'm 61 < Hero to millions !past and present! Guys on the elites loved him peace ! You were spot on ! Old days were gold !

  10. You know itโ€™s funny how you bring this up today. I was just talking with my wife about how every Saturday morning when I was a youngster, Iโ€™m 56 now but every Saturday morning at 7 am began all my favorite fishing shows hosted by Bill dance and Hank Parker and Roland Martin and then there was Jimmy Houston. He has been my hero since those days. I also idolized Tommy Biffle. I grew up on bull shoals lake in northwest Arkansas and I just couldnโ€™t get over how these PRO FISHERMEN lived not really all that far from where I grew up. I have loved fishing my whole life because of these guys and meeting them when they had tournaments on bull shoals. God bless you brother for keeping these memories alive!!!!!

  11. I have a lot of respect for the "big name" guys, but honestly there are about a dozen or so people that I know, or did know, that never fished a single tournament to my knowledge….but taught me some REALLY cool things about fish, and how to catch them. And everytime I catch some by using what I learned from them…..they get remembered & thanked ๐Ÿ‘
