Big Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass on Jerkbaits | The Pierhead Series Ep. 4

In the fourth episode of THE PIERHEAD SERIES, we fished another new lake that we had never been on before. The bite was tricky and we threw a variety of baits before dialing the Bass in on a 6th Sense Jerkbait. The water temp was in the upper 40’s which made the Bass somewhat active and want to chase baits which was the reason the Jerkbait was the best lure for us on this given day. We caught both Largemouth and Smallmouth throughout the course of the day and ended up with just under 20 pounds for our best 5 fish!

Throughout this series, we attempt to showcase all the different fishing opportunities the Great Lakes offer, specifically focusing on Lake Michigan. For 6 months, we are setting out to fish every single lake that is connected to Lake Michigan by a pierhead. We hope to highlight just a snapshot of all the different species of fish that can be targeted throughout different seasons.
