This video is all about my Bass fishing at Turtlehead Lake before a storm using a Wacky Rig. It is an exhilarating experience. With the weather changing, bass tend to become more active and aggressive, often moving to shallower waters to feed. This is the perfect time to use the Wacky Rig, a technique known for its subtle, lifelike presentation.

Before the storm, I cast my Wacky Rig near structures like submerged logs, rocks, and weed beds where bass are likely to hide. The setup, with the worm hooked through the middle, allows both ends to flutter enticingly, mimicking the movements of natural prey. Using my ultra light action spinning rod with 6 lbs braid as my mainline and 6lbs fluorocarbon as my leader line, I let the worm sink slowly, giving it gentle twitches and pauses to attract the bass.

The approaching storm creates a sense of urgency, both for the fish and for you, making each catch even more rewarding.
