We are and have been fully transitioned into summer patterns here on the James River for the past few months. Water temps are in the 80s and can reach up to the low 90s after a few warm days, so fishing early and late, finding moving water & shade and the usual summer techniques are all relevant this time of year. And if you can find all three of those things in one spot (bonus if you can find bait and structure) you’re golden.
