I’ve only been catching bass over 5 pounds the past 3 weeks. I’m not catching many fish when I go, but the ones I am catching are all 5 and better.
This really is one of the best times to catch bigger fish. You just have to be patient because you are t going to get bites on every other cast.
I’m in Ohio and did really good the other day on a drop shot and Carolina rig. Loved it

July has been incredible for me up in Canada. And August so far has been hot… But still very good! I attribute that to me following a lot of your advice last year. My favorite thing so far this year has been asking what everyone is catching em on. Spinner? I'll go straight to drop shot… What color is everyone using? Always white and black and blue? Perfect I'll go pumpkin goby… I've been absolutely destroying while everyone is struggling… I love it…

"Throw the kitchen sink." Man, I feel like I've been doing that all year and still coming up empty. I don't know what is up with this year for me, but fishing has been tough. So much so lately I've questioned why I bother. I know they say any day of fishing beats a day at work, but it really gets to you when you're not catching anything almost every time.
Brush hog on a ned rig worked really good for pressured fish in Wisconsin. Flipp it and swim it.
Can't emphasize enough how spot on Tyler is when he talks about lure sizing. If I'm filling up a limit I downsize. But when I need that 1 big bite to put my limit over the top. If its early/mid August, 1:30 in the afternoon, sun beating down, wind dead calm. Take the biggest glide or swimbait you have, and go to the best offshore structure with bait around it you know of and try it out.

The only thing that has caught me fish this summer was the ned rig. I can visibly see the fish extremely wary, the slightest jerk scares them away
July has been a massive grind for me. It’s been difficult.
