Ladies and gents, welcome to Tennessee 2024. While @bmaljianfishing and I spent 5 days across Tennessee catching big bass, this day on Tim’s Ford Lake was the best. View the pinned comment to see a full overview, and keep reading now for a quick glimpse of each day on the water.
Day 1 – Cumberland River
Our first day was spent on the Cumberland river that cuts through the heart of Nashville. We dropped in the trolling motor and quickly developed a pattern that all three species of bass munched on. We then made a half-hour run into downtown Nashville to snag some pics and messed around with some feisty gar on the way back.
Day 2 – Tim’s Ford
This was our best day of the trip, and after a drive down to south Tennessee, we headed to our first spot and quickly caught some dinky spots and largies. Our second spot was a different story though, and we quickly caught a quality limit to fill up the live well. After about an hour of culling, we ended up with a solid 13 pound bag across 5 beautiful bass, with my 3.4 pound largie being the biggest. We then headed over to a different spot and saw hundreds of fish on livescope, which we quickly discovered to be massive “wipers.” We each caught one of these beasts after a few lost ones, and headed back to the ramp after our successful day.
Day 3 – Percy Priest
This day was a little more laid back, and we decided to hit up Percy Priest Lake to see if we could put together another quality bag. However, our luck with big bass ran dry after catching one dink, but we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and I caught two new species as well.
Day 4 – Tim’s Ford
Tim’s Ford was just too good to hit only once, so we packed up and headed south once again. It was a little slower this time, but Brennan clutched up and put some solid largies in the boat. We each caught a quality smallmouth, including my PB, and I caught the biggest largie of the day to finish it off.
Day 5 – Pond Night Fishing
We rested up on day 5, our final full day, and hit up a pond later that night. After each quickly catching some quality fish, I hooked my new PB just shy of 5 pounds. After some pics and a good release, we called it a night and headed back home.
Well, there you have it, Tennessee 2024 is in the books. This was an incredible trip, even beyond the fishing, and I’ll treasure these memories with Brennan for years to come. His purchase of a gorgeous Bass Tracker equipped with livescope unlocked tons of opportunities for us on larger bodies of water, and we sure made the most of it. Make sure to check out his perspective, along with some day 4 footage on his channel. Big thanks to him and his family for having me over for the week 🙏🏼
Such a fun week my man! 👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks for watching y’all! We ended up with a solid 13 pound bag and both caught our PB hybrids at Tim’s Ford 💪🏼🎣🔥
