  1. I caught a bass on Toledo Bend that was 26.5" but was so skinny that I didn't think it was more than 5 lbs. Never seen one in my 65 years so skinny. All the weight was in the giant head. maybe 1 – 1.5 lbs in the body.

  2. I Love you saying Oh my God, Oh my God!!!! Your fish's are real big..I Love your videos!!! Say Hello to Jappy!!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️🤟🙏🤟🤟🙏🙏🤟🤟🤟🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙👍👍👍👍

  3. i think if you want them to get really big they might need a lot bigger pound as i remember that the growth of fishes is relatzed to the size of their living place too

  4. They are going to continue to grow all year round unlike northern bass who grow srasonally. You feed your fish really well they are gonna get huge like in California lakes like 20+ pounders bro.

  5. Hey, I'm a phd student studying fisheries and have a special interest in body condition (relation of length to weight aka plumpness). We've collected length weight data for several species, including largemouth, in over a dozen lakes for almost 40 years in Wisconsin. It'd be fun to compare how "fat" your fish are to populations I've been studying. The analysis is really straight forward and I could get you some cool insights into your pond. Let me know if you're interested.

  6. You should use barbless hooks so the barb does rip bigger holes in their mouths. You’ll catch less but because they are such big fish they thrash a lot so you can keep them healthier.

  7. I don't know if he's doing it on purpose for the camera, but J comes off really obnoxious. I thought he'd let Tristan catch a fish in this video. Instead he has Tristan SPOT for him so HE can run over and catch the big fish. What a friend lol. And when Tristan is releasing Veteran, J's standing right next to him telling him what to do lol. I understand it's his video, but he just seems like that rich kid who does all the cool stuff himself and then goes, "WE caught Veteran" "WE made a logbook" "WE'RE doing research" No man, YOU'RE doing all that stuff while telling your friends to stand back and watch lol.

  8. Do some research on electroshock techniques to catch and record your fish. DGIF uses this method for efficiency and less harm to the fish when they gather data.
