CATCHING FISH IN A HEAT WAVE! || BASS FISHING THE HEART OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA

Warrior Gangggg…..today, we were up against some crazy heat at Lake Barcroft, a real gem of a spot, though unforgiving and challenging at times. The fishing was tough, but we stuck to it with a Shakey Head and 6XD crank out just a little bit deeper than usual. We managed to snag a decent limit of fish, but that big one still eludes us – we’re getting closer though. Always impressed with Riley and his resiliency, I get geeked seeing his approach as he gives it his best effort and stays down even when the fishing is TOUGH. It reminds me to let loose a bit and let the bites come in as they will.

Regardless of the conditions, we had a great time, as always (laughing our asses of the entire way). At the end of the day, it’s all about pure will and passion for the game.
