WINDY day of kayak bass fishing. How I deal with 20+mph wind. WEIRD bass with a SPINE near its tail!

Went out on one of the nicest days this week. Unfortunately the weather was fairly bad with sustained winds 10mph and gusts above 20. The winds were from the south so I had to spend my time on the south side where the trees offered some relief.

All fish were caught on a hand dipped, hand cut tube in pink. A few had a first layer of red just to see what that looks like. Look to see if you can see them! If I wanted the tube to stay close to the surface I left it as is. If I wanted to sink I cut a little hole in it to let the air escape.

20 pound braid to 15 pound fluorocarbon leader via an FG knot. Uni knot passed through eye twice to secure the hook.
