Bass Fishing Lake Anna, Virginia: Pt I

Tina and I took a short vacation down to Lake Anna, Virginia which is about 2 hours from where we live in Maryland. I headed down at about 3 am on Wednesday morning and Tina joined me late that night. For the first day, it was just me and my goal was to figure the fish out so that when Tina joined me I would have some idea of what the fish were doing. The last time I had been to this lake was back in 2009, but surprisingly enough I remembered all of the spots that produced for me then. Unfortunately the fishing was very tough. I utilized a variety of techniques from cranks, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits, to jigs, finesse, and shakey heads. These fish were tough as nails, but that’s what makes it a challenge!
