I’m almost at a loss for words when it comes to describing my first hour and a half of Florida pond bass fishing in Orlando. Less than a week ago I was bass fishing in a half frozen farm pond in Maryland and now I’m crushing giant Florida pond bass on a topwater frog from the shoreline!!! A fluke did plenty of damage too! It was my first day in Florida, so stay tuned…more to come!

Fished that same spot right outside Disney Springs when I was last down there. Got 8 fish, 2 of which were 5 pounders before security kicked me out. They have signs everywhere along the water now after that kid got eaten by the alligator on Disney property. Still caught some nice Disney bass though.

I am one of the fortunate people who live in Florida and get to catch bass like the ones you caught on a weekly basis. Lake Kissimmee is known world wide for its trophy bass. I highly recommend that you give it a try

If it helps anyone ive lived in orlando my whole life and this would be in the kissimmee area. Disney says its in orlando but its closer to there. Lots of good places to fish there. Cheers.

The best bass fishing is in retention ponds and man made ponds in Florida.
