Good first day of largemouth fishing 🎣 That is exactly the type of water I'm fishing most often in my area.
Great video, glad to see you on the water. I mostly fished out of kayaks last year but did purchase a used boat. What bait would you recommend to throw on a bait caster for a beginner? It’s a 7ft med/heavy shimano caius I just never used them in kayak because didn’t want to have problems on water.

Congrats on your first of the year and a great one at that! Hit mine on the 2nd (definitely some bigs hitting in that cold front that came thru) and followed up with doubling up in the 3rd. Great weekend to get on them 💯!
All mine were from the bank, but agree on that lethargic bite. Could barely feel the resistance on the jerkbait. Didn’t have any luck with moving baits as docile as they were.
The funniest part was on the release, they REFUSED to leave the bank and kept pushing back towards the warmer water in the shallow.
They were chunky though, so they were definitely feeding. It’s only gonna get better from here.
