Just got the Fenwick medium fast elite travel rod when it went on sale at tackle Warehouse. Just had to return it because the insert on the tip was broken hoping the next one they sent me good to go because it felt pretty good excited for spring
The season is closing in a couple days where i live until mothers day weekend or so sadly plus theres still ice but its pretty thin here

7ft ML fast SLX spinning rod… normally fish with 10lb braid to 6 or 8lb fluoro leader. Will that rod work for neds, wacky rigs, drop shot… or maybe a tube, small swimbait… hover rig if i tried it? Mostly bank angling. Just looking for opinion on rod choice. 100 is around my budget. Hoping for 1 rod that can do most spinning applications. Should o go shorter? Should i go medium instead of ML?
Just wondering why not invest in some of those mobile depth finder gadget like the deeper chirp and be able to map the bottom of these spots .

I’m truly glad and happy you got out to fish my friend and I had one pack of the Googan Rattlin Neds and they worked really well and I kept the rattles for my Topwater frog just in case it makes a difference. It’s cool you got the first fish of the year even if it wasn’t with Randizzle.
