Winter Bass Fishing in HOT Water (Nuclear Power Plant Lake)

I was lucky enough to join a great group of guys for a day of winter bass fishing on the hot side of Lake Anna in Virginia. With water temps between 55-70 degrees, the hot side of this lake is where a nuclear power plant discharges warm water and provides a unique fishing experience in the winter months. We had a mini tournament to see who would catch the best weight out of a 5 fish limit with a 14′ minimum and we all had some fish brought to scale. I was able to pull off a small 5 fish limit with 3 crankbait bites, one on a weightless wacky rigged senko and small 6″ Megabass Magdraft fish. This was my second time fishing this section of the lake and we will most likely make it an annual winter bass fishing trip.

Thanks for watching!!!
