What’s up SB fishing fam? Hope everyone is well and enjoying the Holidays.
Hit up Occoquan Regional park and fished for 4 hours yesterday. WINTER is here to say the least. 37 degree water temps, cold bass, and frozen fingers. The bite was tough, though we marked a ton of deep fish and bait all throughout the creek. We are hardly “winter fisherman” and we have a ton to learn, but that’s why we’re out there.
Always remember, it’s not the good days that define you as a fisherman. When they’re biting, anyone can look good. It’s the bad days, the grind, the 37 degree water temp, trying to find 1 bite all day, freezing your ass off until you can barely stand kind of outings that define you. Many would give up, get super discouraged, and a ton of people don’t even fish through winter. Always remember….they have to eat sometime.
