  1. I’ve been fly fishing in Florida for about 4 months now. Haven’t caught shit lol. I’ve tried all types of poppers, clausser, and woolly buggers. I’ve got a 5/6 wt rod, REALLY want to try getting a redfish on fly but if I can’t get a bass to bite I’m not even gunna try reds. What am I doing wrong? Really frustrated

  2. Love your videos. And love the fly videos especially. I noticed that you were only catching smaller bass on the fly. And then switched up to conventional gear. Have you ever tried streamers and maybe a heavier wt rod when using the fly? In my experience, and just like in conventional gear. Using bigger tackle tends to produce bigger fish. Flies have come a long way in the past 5 years and even more so in the past 1 year. There is I fly out there called a game changer. It mimics bait fish and can be used just like a crank bait or a jig. They can be thrown on any 5-10wt rod/reel set up. I’m sure you’ll catch the same size monsters I’ve seen you catch on a bait caster or spin rod. Hope this gets to you, and happy angling.
