Depends on body of water, i am still catching smallmouth in the Milwaukee river and the solstice has nothing to do with it…your talking about the south this has little impact as the spawn here is not until June a month after Ice out….

As crazy as it sounds I fish at night in Nov, Dec,. Don’t catch many but the ones I do are big fish. I don’t go out on 20 degree nights but 30’s and 40’s, I’m I’m the lake.

Im guessing you’re a non-believer in the effect of moon phases on fish activity.
last week the catfish bites changed drastically also. continuing so far this week, also saw one catfish with eggs at the market… and the water is cold.
AS a ffamily physician for 30 years, no question we see more depression in the months of November-January, and a big factor is the decreased hours of daylight. Known as Seasonal Affective Disorder. Holiday, end of the year stress also a factor. Its treatable, so talk with your primary care provider…
Randy I believe all that's true,they love the sun,well who doesn't,they can find good temp,but not the light,my mentor told me something in the 60's I never forgot,school fish are for eating,crappie etc.But bass are more solitary predators,they hideout,wait for an opportunity to ambush their prey,took awhile,but I figured it out,doesn't mean you'll catch every fish,but you have a better understanding of the species,oh yeah,ffs,takes part of that away,

I really think that kicks off the Bass spawn down here in Florida. The days get a little longer and the sun warms the water just a hair more. Among other variables of course
keep crying about livescope get a grip it’s the same sob story every time. comparing livescope to opening christmas presents early. Never had to figure out how to get the christmas presents in the boat lmao
November and December are probably my favorite months besides March and April to bass fish, more people off the water and in the woods, big fish are chewing and i’ve had great success the last month and a half. ( I’m in Virginia) i’m going to go out and wreck them on the 22nd. so what the water is 45 degrees it doesn’t matter the fish have to eat
I love November and December for catching solid bags in Jersey. Oh and they aren’t all deep lol
Really great comments/analogy on the amount of sunlight in the winter/spring/summer and how it impacts fishing, It would have been an excellent video if you could just once stop attaching livescope fisherman.

As a kid not knowing size and kind from a big-fish, Canadian lake was visceral … as a 6yo.
Pike, musky, walleye, smallmouth.
My dad fished live 6" chubs under BIG BOBBERS while casting an Original Rapala; always had two+ bobbers out.
Watching a BIG BOBBER pulled across the surface then disappear was over the top for me.

They are the essence of real bass fishing. I would be curious as to your opinion(s) on moon phases and solunar events.
I've always payed attention to them . . . but i don't gauge my fishing around them . . . but it's def. another invaluable tool to have in your arsenal.
