  1. I say you go back and fix Erika's outboard this minute, ya hear ? Not only because she a charming person but from what I gather, you'd better be on her list of " problem solving individuals" than otherwise ! LOL.

  2. The old prop is a semi cleaver prop. The newer black prop is a cupped prop. The cupped prop is designed to lift the bow, so the helm to the bow will run out of the water. If you don’t have enough HP or if the bottom is somewhat flat the bow won’t lift. The extra energy at top speed will be wasted which is why it is slower than the semi cleaver. The semi cleaver at the same pitch is not trying to lift the bow. Without the cup ( the part your cutting off ) the prop spins faster cause it is not trying to lift the bow that is why you get more speed out of the older prop.

  3. Motors are to be lifted on and off correctly, quickly, vertically & safely… with the inexpensive lifting ring tool that mounts on the flywheel after removal of the flywheel nut. This balances the whole engine vertically (not horizontally) when lifting. Instead of the single front loop on the powerhead. That block loop is ONLY designed to handle just the power by itself. Once the block is on a bench or elsewhere, after removal from the rest of the motor!

When doing a job… it must be done correctly & safely. OR, high risk of damage to the equipment & injury will probably occur. These guys got away extremely lucky with how they did this "Keystones Cops" job. This is why hospital emergency rooms are filled with people having accidents from not using the proper tools & "jury rigging" things because they're in too big of a hurry & don't plan ahead and do things correctly & safely! Yikes!

  4. I still cant get over why people want more speed out of their motors?
Im over here trying to figure out how to get my gas motor to troll down to 1/2 a mile per hour. When all i can achieve is 9/10 of a mile per hour & thats back trolling.
Sum times walleye can be a little finicky to catch so can lg mouth bass & smallies. So sometimes you really gotta get her slowed down. Cause who wants to go fishing & not catch much?
I have still never caught a fish with my gas motor wide open but then again i dont think i have ever tried😅

  5. I don't know where you're looking spark plugs for that 115 but I gave up on boat parts places. I get my plugs for my 2 Johnson outboards from my local napa store. Champion only in mine. I put ngk in my 200hp and won't idle worth a dern. Don't know what was wrong but put champion back in and ran and idled like a new one.

  6. Looking at that motor, first thing with any outboard motor. Spray the whole motor down with Boeshield T 9. I've had problems with the ignition switch. I change it and the thing fired right up. I keep solar trickle charge panels on my boat batteries. They always start my motor. Also, run the motor at least once a month and if it wont start or stay running. Time to clean the carburetors. I've got a 200 Hp Yamaha two stroke. It has six carbs.

  7. Those guys lifting that motor looked like 4 monkeys trying to F a Football 😂 if you take that old prop to a prop shop they can press in a new rubber hub I had one done years ago for like $35
