This weekend was the Buckeye Kayak Fishing Trail’s stop at Nimisila Reservoir in northern Ohio. I had pre-fished a few weeks before with great success, so I was feeling unusually confident in my plan going into this tournament, but as things seem to happen in fishing, my good practice did not lead to tournament success and nothing that worked during practice got me a bite in the tournament. I did manage to figure out something in the afternoon but ran out of time to put together a limit. Nimisila has become one of my favorite places to fish, but clearly I need more practice to figure out how to adjust when plans A, B, and C don’t work!
Thanks to the organizers of the Buckeye Kayak Fishing Trail for another great season! Check them out on facebook or here for more information:

Two nice fish! You'll get 'em next year!
Nice show 👍 you ROCK 🤠
You have actually stopped me from buying one of those nets after seeing how much trouble you have with it!
SPINNER BAITS RULE!!
Are you fishing a SPINNER BAIT!? FINALLY! 🤠
I still think you could benefit from a smaller net. They are a lot easier to control in a kayak and close quarters
