I know this is quite old now, however, I have never fished for bass, I've found out that local to me are several locations that bass are caught regularly, I have a rod and reel that will do, my frustration comes with lures, some of the lures recommended on certain vids, they are so expensive, I'm sure it's just a sales advert, could you recommend some budget successful lures.
thanks for great video. what rod length, action. Power is best for bass fishing offshore or from harbour in English waters? thanks
Really helpful videos.
If you were replacing the treble hooks with single circle hooks what size would you use?
Many thanks. Tom.
Plenty of bass on Suffolk coast but the North Sea is very brown in these parts , would lure fishing be a waste of time , don’t see anyone doing it so maybe that’s my answer
Great video I’ve just bought the shimano sedona and saw you had one in this video. I have the 3000 but not sure where to fill the line up to on the spool? Any chance you could tell me how much to fill it up please?
Has anyone ever told you, you sound exactly like a youtuber called "kickingmustang" or otger way around haha, thanks for these tips brother, all the best from across the pond in dublin.
Revisiting and picked up yet another tip I missed! Caught that 2nd bass that summer and readying to get out again now after an enforced break. Great videos, as always.
Yes there is NO and I mean NO excuse for using treble hooks, not only for fish welfare but imagine a little kiddie paddling about and getting……. NOOO!
Brilliant
Should have been a school teacher for bass fishing 😀😀.really good upload, kind regards Mike, Norfolk.
Hi I have just moved to east Kent from Surrey, I was given some sea fishing gear from the estate of an old gentleman that passed away and I would like to start using it, my only previous experience of sea fishing has been dayboat charters, is there a published list of tide times?
Great video. Shame none of your links lead to anything.
That’s where I live
Hi can you fish in an estuary over winter? Or summer / autumn mainly?
Hi buddy, just wanted to say I have recently discovered your channel on YouTube and it has been a great help as I am learning. I have now just started to really enjoy lure fishing for bass. Do you think I will have any luck this time off year? If so can you recommend any areas at all? Thanks mate
I've caught double figure bass of watchet Bristol channel
awesome video, Hayling Island, is there any bass around?
Just found your YouTube channel and love it. I've just retired and you've got me fishing again. I live in the states so trying to adapt fishing gear, technics etc. to surf fishing for striped bass over here which get extremely large. Happy fishing to all……
Has anyone spent hours and hours targeting bass with no luck ?
I’m going to all the local “hotspots” and spending money of decent rods and endless lures and nothing. I am very new to fishing and I don’t want the lack of success to put me off !
Thanks
Hi Matt, What would be your expected casting distances ie for a 26grm lure on a 8-35grm rod? Do you think that mono thickness impacts the distances? 6lb v 15lb? Would you recommend ball weights to increase distances? Just curious as my technique is pretty sound but I don't seem to get the distances I would prefer to get !
going out at 4am tomorrow before work for a few hours i hope its worth it lol, only been out twice in many years absence lure fishing and I've caught school bass on both occasions, at dusk. got 3 bass fishing a new top water lure which is the one i'm hoping to get a nice size bass on in the morning. wish me luck
Thanks, really helpful, am over in West Sussex
What an informative video loved it to bits when's the next one coming
hi there, greaat video thanks. what is a sealed reel? and what maintenance does a reel need? Cheers
I watched this video, bought a second hand Okuma wave power, caught a bass within an hour. First try, no experience. Love my new hobby!
Just one thing, it’s harder to catch them with a lure in murkey water but they can still be caught with a lure at night. So I’m guessing they must have night vision ?
Hi I'm looking at giving it a go myself it's great weather for it what rod should I be thinking of using plz.
Brilliant video cinematography and narration. Love the lure in front of the camera, then cast out; I wasn't expecting that, so you're giving the video presentation great thought. I've subscribed
Im not sure if theres even bass where i am in north east Scotland. Tips on how to find out?
