Shearon Harris Bass Fishing (NEW PB)

I started out the morning throwing a Zoom Texas rigged lizard (black with red flake) among the shoreline grass and reeds. Within 20 minuted I caught a 5 pound bass and then a smaller bass on the other side of the cove. My next fish came after moving spots, and where I had seen bass bedding the day before. It was a monster bass for me and my personal best. The big girl weighed in at 7 pound 6 ounces. I caught her on the same rig as the others. I only wish I had still been on the phone with my dad. He had lost service not more than 30 seconds before and the phone call dropped. Needless to say, I called him back right away.

I missed one fish, about five pounds as I tried to boat flip her. Don’t make that mistake. The last fish I finally caught on a shaky head with a crawfish bait after working her for 45 minutes.

I may have only had 6 bites all day, but they were all good bites.
