  1. The information rule doesn’t it say that you can’t intentionally go looking for information online? but you can use any public Avenue to get info is that right? The no info rule from what I’ve seen is all around intent but wanted your take on that

  2. Just to clear up one little detail. A fish that you have just caught will not eat out of your hand. Don’t want anyone to get any crazy ideas. Seriously though good points in your video but there’s so stuff going on that really just can’t be stopped 100%

  3. its a bad look I definitely agree. however if there is lemonade to be made, its definitely brought competitive fishing to the attention of many that just don't know about it. the amount of prize money these guys stole is far more than most nonfishing people are aware of and might ultimately create interest. "grow the sport" is forever being trumpeted and this is definitely something to at least pique people's interest

  4. Umm, can anyone explain to Joe Public why a guy like Jeff Sprague is still fishing at a top level trail? Known cheater who was caught, should have been made an example of………hurts the sport overall as well

  5. One more point. B.A.S.S. AND MLF need to get rid of the "No Info" rule. IMO it is impossible to police and only hurts the honest anglers. The cheaters will cheat anyway. What would happen if everyone had access to "any and all information"? I will guess the weights would go up. Is this bad for the fans? Is it bad for the fisheries? Something else? What am I missing.

  6. This is just one of the reasons Professional Bass fishing is not considered a legitimate sport. I really enjoy bass fishing as a hobby! But the business model just does not allow good hard working fisherman to make a living from prize money only. I wish it did.

  7. Man! I think this is good for the honest fishing community. It's only bad for the cheating fishing community, because they take the risk of being exposed now! Because "WE GOT WEIGHTS IN FISH!"😳😬😣😒🤔😡😠!

  8. Cheating is cheating, whether its sinking a fish basket or gaining info outside the rules. To think that cheating doesn't take place at the professional level is ludicrous.

  9. Except I remember back in 2004 or so (I think it was) a guy by the name of thompson (?) was finally caught cheating and the FLW Tour kept it hush hush. Seemes he was tethering 55 gallon drums with an X cut out in the top and stocking them with big bass having starved them for a week and simply fishing the various drums, rpeatedly flipn until he managed to get the jig down in to the drum and a starved fish would it and he'd reel it in. Now this was during a time when there were co-anglers and all sorts of so called foolproof was to stop cheating. Believe me, there's always a way.

  10. Local catfish tournament had rampant cheating, guys would catch a fish 2-3 weeks before and keep it alive in a stock tank full of water and cram in as much food as the fish would eat. They finally put spotters all along the river, and cameras all along the stretch of river that was in limits. Go out of bounds in your boat you are disqualified. They also went to only boat fishing allowed. No more bank fishing where guys cheated by going way out of bounds then drove in a fish they had for 3 weeks…If the fish was not caught on camera it is not allowed to be entered!

  11. Good vid. I tend to agree that the "no info" rule is probably the most likely to be broken at the higher-end tourneys. It is sad to me that MLF didn't do more on the Jeff Sprague thing from early this year. I know they're trying to protect their sponsors (Toro specifically), but letting that stuff more or less "slide" gives 'em a black eye. Anyway, keep it up. Love the good/informed questions "Ms Hunter" adds to your videos.

  12. The word Elite should take away all thought of breaking the rules. This of course if the Leader, BASS shows and demands professional from all there employees and anglers. When BASS shows any nonprofessional actions it takes the PRO/ Trust out of the sport. I lost a lot of respect for BASS this year when a employee made a YouTube about a tournament win and how behind the sense he showed how unprofessional and disrespectful he did his job. Something that I never expected would happen at this level until I watch what he did them three days, he may of change the outcome of a tournament and that shouldn't even be a question ask towards a employee at the Elite Level.

  13. There's a reason polygraphs aren't admissable in a courtroom….they are not reliable. They can be failed or passed inappropriately. It's a sad situation when a guy skirts the rules to steal money….and I don't know if there a way to 100% eliminate all of it👎🐟

  14. It's going to change how tournament organizations handle infractions going forward (what really made the pressure cooker boil over in the Walleye example, was the way it had been bubbling under the surface for a long time). And bass tournament organizations have a track record now, of not coming out open and clean about things. That perception has grown up around bass fishing to some extent as well (let's not draw attention, and the noise will die down). That's what they did in Walleye, and guess what. Eventually it turned into that 'marsh mellow man' from the Ghostbusters film. That burst open and coated everyone regardless in the same green slime. We forget the extent to which media has made that possible in 2022. In a way it never was possible in the old days. It has caught fishing on the hop badly, and no one saw it coming. Even when it happened and the story just spread all over. Most people in fishing, could not appreciate how the whole mountain was collapsing around them. To quote the character from the 1984 movie. He said he was terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought. It's going to have a chilling impact on the sport for a long time. It almost became existential.

  15. Just wondering….how does the ANTI-info rules apply to anglers that are sharing the same living quarters? I've watched several videos where they seem to share their info, while competing against not only all the others, but themselves? One of the many reasons I enjoy following you thru tournaments, is you don't seem to talk to others about what's going on, but esp you don't ask! You'd rather figure it out yourself….and I like that!

  16. I think this will end up being an opportunity for the smaller tournaments to grow. I think they will figure out ways to combat cheating. What might not have seemed so necessary now seems necessary. I DO NOT think polygraph tests are the answer. I think they will come up with new ways which will help protect the integrity of the sport. But I noticed your other passion has been caught up in a possible cheating scandal too. With Garrett Adelstein and Robbi Jade Lew. Heck, I have even seen something about cheating in chess recently. I didn't think it was even possible to cheat in chess.

  17. Ranger Boats knew about these cheaters in advance. But Ranger blatantly failed to recognize these cheaters. Ranger was just trying to stop their dying breed of boats. I bought a new 2019 521L and the boat was absolute garbage, will never own another.

  18. I don't think anything about it, there is always someone trying to get an edge over someone, there are cheaters in most professions, I see it where I work, but it's good to know you can't cheat in the bass elites, what really bothered me the most is those fish getting cut up for that purpose, but it had to be done to prove it though!
