The BEST Bank Fishing Plastic? (I Need to Use it MORE!)

One EASY way to mimic baitfish is with a FLUKE! This is a bait that I often overlook. I’ve had a lot of success throwing these over the years. However, I tend to pick up a stick bait as my weightless plastic instead. The fluke is hard to beat around fish that are targeting bait!

  1. A few days ago , I had brought just two rods , spook and neg , was hitting them left and right , 2-3 pounders . Next day it rain , went out only small fish biggest 1 pounder , then lots of rain throughout the night , higher water went out and NOTHING !!! What happen ??

  2. Dude, I gotta start throwing the fluke more often, too. Don't know why I always overlook it, but I was tediously trying to work my drop shot around a thick grass edge the other day, when I could have just tossed a weedless fluke right into the thick of it and probably triggered a LOT more bites. The bass were prowling the grass for baitfish, and my stubborn brain just wanted to fish a confidence rig, lol.

As always, loved both the on-water portion and the gear review, man! Thanks for always putting out great content.

  3. Debo, you need to stop using Shimano spinning reels under a $100. Hell stop using Shimano in general. They charge you twice as much as other brands for lease features. The only thing Shimano might be a little better with is they are just slightly smoother. But smoothness isn’t everything. Quality features that will extend the reels life and your experience matter more in my option. Thats why I use Lew’s, PFlueger and Quantum. If you’re not convinced check my video covering Shimano, called Shimano Overrated and Overpriced Pt.1 & 2.

  4. I definitely need to fish the fluke and fluke style baits more like that. I mostly leave them at home lol or use them as trailers lol. I do have one tied on now if i can get pit soon ill throw it.

  5. Great Video as always! I've been having really good luck with the fluke the last month or so. I've been using an octopus hook nose exposed. Gives it more action and really hasn't been too bad about catching grass..

  6. Bro you got me turned onto the fluke and I slammed em on it this summer. Don’t hate on the drop shot man I’ve done super well with em with GULP minnows when nothing else would work!

  7. What about an inline spinner for bass video? I am convinced a #2 Mepps is the best all around fresh water lure. I had a dressed #4 on while fishing as a storm front rolled in and was tearing up bass and some aggressive yellow perch.
