  1. In a recent video you talked about smaller baits being key in September/Fall. In your opinion, does a 6-8” work better than a finesse 3” swimbait? Thank you, I love your videos.

  2. This bait was my intro into throwing big swimbaits about 2 years ago then I started with the big glide baits … but the 8" magdraft is still one of my favorites. I'm down here in SW Louisiana and have a camp on Toledo bend, I fish Sam Rayburn, and make the trip to Lake Fork pretty regularly and it's crazy that it took me this long to start playing with these big baits.

  3. Randy, Sometimes it seems like your podcasts are nothing more than an ad for mega bass products. Not everyone can afford those high-priced lures

  4. Randy what would you say the water temperature window would be for “Fall” and using the Mag Draft? I’m in South Texas and fall here is kinda hard to determine. But I can get lined up on some water temperature.👍

  5. Have you ever caught a bass, or any other fish for that matter, on a Heddon Crazy Crawler? When I was much younger, my grandfather had a camp on Lake Champlain. I was going through his tackle box and came across a Crazy Crawler. I thought that if a fish went after that it would probably be a big one. But, I have never gotten so much as a swirl when I have tried to fish it.

  6. That tail shape was invented by a guy in Greensboro, NC way back in the late 1960's. He called it a "bell tail." Trying to remember his name. His wife was my dad's secretary at the time. He gave me some. I was a kid and thought it was the oddest shape I'd ever seen on a plastic bait. Within a few years it was everywhere.

  7. Gut the harness, and rig them weedless (10/0 or 11/0 Owner/Mustad/VMC/Gamakatsu for the 8", 16/0 BKK Titan for the 10"). They can be swam at different speeds than the standard harness version.
