4 of us went up into north Georgia to fish with are kayaks on a 19 acre lake that is the highest in elevation in Georgia. Getting to it was a journey with the trailer full of bouncing kayaks.

My Great Grandad used to fish that lake when my Dad was a kid. Dad says it used to fish a lot different. If i remember right, Dad said they added some type of temperature normalizing/oxygen normalizing tech about 7-8 years ago when we were camping there last. Lake used to run a lot colder and you could catch trout where the creek comes in.
Last time I was there i used wacky rigged worm worked around the mountain laurels. Next time you're around the area, try Fort Mountain State Park's lake. It's about the same size and has much larger bass on average. they're hard to catch but worth it once you do.
Im from that area in Ellijay, grew up fishing this lake and for rainbow trout in the streams
Awesome video! Just subscribed! What boat ramp did you launch at?
I used to camp there all the time growing up. Every labor day weekend we were right there. Its hardly changedโฆ
Hey John where is that lake at?
Old Town Sportsman 120, best kayak I have ever had!
I know they stock trout in there in the Spring because I've caught a limit there. Of course that was probably in the late 80's. Also had a 280lb black bear (I know the weight because DNR darted and removed the bear as a nisance) steal the stringer of big blue gills I had in the water while I watched him from the other side of the little cove. Got back to my family's camp and found the bear had been there before visiting me and trashed the site while they were at the swimming beach.
That place was beautiful
it's not hidden there is 2 lakes on the mountain they got trout there to and lots of bears love the video
What is the ramps address
I live in Georgia. But I live in the south. I've barely been in the mountains. I have no idea how fishing is up there.
Where is that at?
At around 5:45 in your video, the area where the trees are in the lake to the left, I always catch good sized bass there, I spend a lot of time on that lake, itโs 15 miles from my house. Love some conasauga!!!
Hey John! Itโs funny that your title describes this as a hidden lake and yet you meet someone who knows you through your videos! Great job on this one! I really love the drone shots and music. Very pretty spot for sure and Iโm sure itโs nice to share it with friends as well. Thanks!
I just started the video but the road looked like you're going to the top of grassy mountain to the lake
Where is this lake
The scenery just showed Godโs magnificent artistic flair. Thank you for showing that you got too excited and Lost the fish. That is one of my problems. Itโs nice to see your professional get that way also
I'm only 2 min in and this is already an awesome video!
Oh well, good try.
Good Video .
Did you get a new kayak? If so, what did you do with your old one?
lots of folks sit on the dam and fish for trout…Should of come to Chatsworth and traded fish tales with me here at the ADCO Motel….fun to see someone catch out of that lake…haven't been up there in 20 years…
what rod and reel test line do you use most? nky
This place is awesome except the road to the lake. When you wake up on some mornings to stoke your campfire up if its semi cloudy the clouds are passing right through you. If you get bit by rattlesnake in those woods you're quite possibly dead. I always be careful there cause ain't no ambulance getting to you.
Incredible scenery and a great fishing adventure.
lol, that time when you're trying to fish and people keep yaking.
Like the video and the verse you posted on this one.
I enjoyed this, especially the drone footage – I haven't fished Conasauga in nearly 20 years. Once upon a time it had trout stocked and in the summer they would suspend in the thermocline and the bass would gobble them up. There were some giant bass in the lake back then. Sadly, DNR killed off the fish and restocked only with trout. That's when i stopped going up there. It was just in the last year I learned they had eventually killed off the trout and restocked with bass. May have to make a trip back up there.
That drone shot was awesome. So proud of how far you've come and how much your channel has grown
Hello, we have some fishing products and we want to cooperate with you. How can we contact you?
I saw this. I would have been no. 6 six 6 and did NOT want that showing.

I reckon you are the best thing going on YouTube… thanks John God bless.
Godโs Country – I was born and raised in Cleveland, GA, lived in Dahlonega while an undergraduate student and have lived in Gainesville since. Watching you fish was so peaceful. Thanks for sharing.
Good vid .. Drone footage is awesome ๐ฅ
I am just curious- what kind of wildlife might one expect to encounter in North Georgia?
Very nice step up in your production value! Your channel is about to blow up!
