We moved to Lake county three years ago, and I have been fishing Clear Lake ever since. With very little experience, and a lot of free time, I have learned enough about bass fishing, and Clear Lake to sometime catch a five fish limit. I joined Newjen tournaments team division and fished just well enough to qualify for the teams championship this October. It is a two day tourney with the best weight of ten fish to win. We will be going up against the best anglers in the west so I don’t hold much hope in winning, but I will not just let them take it! We are committed to fishing Clear Lake every week until the tourney to learn more about the fish, habitat, and baits to make a good run. We started by fishing the area near and around the town of Clearlake, and next we launch at Clearlake Oaks to fish and explore that area. Afterwards we will launch farther north until we have fished every area of Clear Lake.
