Milwaukee River BIG SMALLMOUTH BASS FISHING

I spent the weekend targeting Smallmouth bass on the Milwaukee River. The bite got better and better throughout the weekend, I fished Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night for a few hours each night. I caught multiple 18″ fish the biggest just under 3lbs landed a bunch of chunky 16-14″ bass and caught tons of dinks. My buddy @dmjtv5937 also landed a bunch of nice Smallies and even pulled in a few largemouth fishing topwater on Sunday night. Check out his channel as well!

Needless to say, the river bite is definitely picking back up after a slow & hot august. I went out there fishing a few different baits, I had a lot of luck on a purple garlic scented ned rig, caught a few on a Texas rig crawfish, my biggest fish of the weekend was caught on a blade spinnerbait and they were also hitting on topwater lures as well.
