The BIGGEST Punching Fish I’ve EVER Seen!!! (Flipping HEAVY Cover)

Every year @phytobedo and I go on an EPIC fishing trip. This year He caught what is the biggest punching fish I’ve ever seen flipping heavy cover – matted floating vegetation – with a big tungsten weight. Flipping mats is a process of getting your fishing lure like a soft plastic creature or craw bait through super thick and heavy cover into the canopy or hollow section where bass hide out for heat and cover during the spring. Using really stout long fishing rods and braided fishing line the fish react to the fast fall of the lure and the battle to get the fish out is insane! Probably one of my favorite ways to fish and one of the coolest techniques to catch bass in late winter and spring.
