This was a big tournament for me… going in I was sitting 21 in the AOY points, with the top 20 making it to the end-of-season BKFT Classic tournament. I knew I had to place well to move up, but I was more afraid of bombing out and knocking myself totally out of the running. I ended up only finding 2 small keeper bass, and a ton of short bass and bluegill, but it was enough for a 17th place finish, and that puts me 18th in the BKFT AOY standings, with one event to go in the season! I mostly fished a texas rigged Z-Man Big TRD, with a tiny 1/16 tungsten weight (there was zero wind, so I thought the slower fall might help), in green pumpkin and coppertreuse. I alternated that with a Z-Man Jackhammer Chatterbait in Spot Remover, with a 4″ Keitech Easy Shiner trailer in Gizzard Shad.
Thanks to Strictly Sail & Kayak for letting me use the Hobie Lynx… I am grateful every day I get to fish on that amazing kayak!
Thank you for the video Miss, Doing my homework on Alum as for kayak fishing there. I don't know that lake too well. Just the bigger fish are back in the coves away from the jet skis and rec boats. I want to enter atleast the Alum and Indian events this year. I know Indian lake 🙂
Hi is this information posted somewhere? I want to get into the next one at alum.
🔥🔥🔥
As someone who also does multiple cameras, respect the time it took you to get the image synced up and flowing.
looks like it was a small fish tourney by the leader board.. You looked like you had a good bit of fish too, just needed to grow a bit. lol. Still a great vid, and always enjoy watching you work.
Before I forget. On the frog fishing technique (the difficulty of missing the bites when frog fishing in vegetation areas).
Good job
Almost fifty anglers. And the two twelve to thirteen inch fish. Sets you up. In the middle of the field. When you think about it. Assuming a relatively high skill level. Across almost fifty individual anglers. It tells you. How hard that fishing situation was. It seems to have been. A toss up. Between a scattering of anglers. Who managed to put 'five' of those twelve-inch type fish. In the kayak. Some other anglers. Who managed to put. Only four (and I guess, 'four' twelve inchers is still twice as much as 'two'). And it appears as though. One had to work hard. To get the two. A load of anglers. Underneath that. Must have been looking. At a single fish. In other words. For a day's fishing.
I really liked the split screen nice touch! Cant wait to see the next video.
Nice video! I really liked the split screen when you hooked up. 👍🏻👍🏻
That place is tough to fish! Awesome video!
Awesome video!!
Great video. I was fishing the bottom with a worm and a creature bait all day but only got like two bites, hooked one but he came off and I don't know if he was even 12" anyways. I wonder if maybe I was just using lures that were too big and heavy. Oh well if the BKFT goes back there next year I have some ideas of what to do I think. Good luck in the next tournament and hopefully you make the classic and do well there too. I'm going to try and make it in next year.
that was a green sunfish. pretty fish!
Fingers crossed for making the end-of-season tourney. Can't wait for the video of the last event before then. Good luck!
Great video, Do you see any changes for the 2022 Lynx..?
